Aruba is a small island 20/30 km in the south of the Caribbean sea close to the coast of Venezuela. You can easily discover the island in one day. So it is a perfect location for cruise passengers that have a limited time to explore the island. Just follow my guide “One Day in Aruba” to make a perfect trip around one happy island.

P.S.: I don’t recommend you to take any cruise excursions, because with my guide your one day in Aruba will be way more authentical.

1. Rent a 4×4 jeep.

It is essential as we will go off-road.

2. Arikok Natural Park

It is very easy to find a park and the road is just 10-15 minutes from the Oranjestad. But the road in the park is not that easy, as you literally drive along the mountain clay road through the cactus valleys, which is super bumpy.

Firstly take a direction to the San Fuego Entrance. There you can see Fontein Cave (nice cave with bats), Boca Prins and Dos Playa Bay. Actually this part of the park is less spectacular than second one (you may skip this one).

Leave the park and enter it one more time from the Shete Entrance. This part of the park is amazing. There are Moro beach and the Natural Pool. The experience of the both spots is superb. On the Moro beach, you can walk along the path in the middle of the waves and witness the spectacular views of the empty beach (almost no people).

And the Natural pool is one of the best experiences in my life. You literally swim in the pool made by ocean cliffs, through which ocean waves often fly that cover half of the pool. You can climb those cliffs and dive for the ocean stars.

3. Go for lunch to Zeerovers

Zeerovesr is an oceanfront seafood restaurant, where you can eat fresh shrimps and fish only for 10-15$ per person. I have described the place here.

4. Swim with turtles on Baby beach

This is a small but very famous beach in the south of the island. On the Baby Beach, you can swim with big sea wild turtles that live there. Take a swim, but don’t spend to much time here, as Baby beach is not the best beach in Aruba.

5. Enjoy the best beach in Aruba

In my opinion, Aruba has the best beaches in the world. So you definitely have to enjoy one of them. Firstly you need to choose which beach to consider the best one. As for me, I prefer Eagle beach. Follow the link to learn more about the 5 best beaches in Aruba.

6. Take a walk around the Oranjestad

It won’t take a lot of time as Oranjestad is a very small city. However, here you can buy good souvenirs and take nice photos.
