1. Dundaga exotic animal park

Who lives? Zebras, alpacas, llamas, ostriches, chinchillas, rabbits, mini pigs, sheep, goats. All animals can be petted.

What’s interestnig? Inflatable pillow and water balloons, country sauna.

Location: Dundaga, 150 km from Riga and 66 km from Ventspils.

2. Camel park “Rakši”

Who lives? Camels, alpacas, llamas, donkeys, ponies, sheep, goats, rabbits and parrots.

What’s interesting? Camel rides, walks with llamas, carriage rides, smithy, hotel with rooms in the style of Morocco and Peru (home of llamas and alpacas), cafes.

Opening hours: 10: 00-16: 00 on weekdays and 10: 00-17: 00 on weekends.

Location: 115 km from Riga, 66 km from Ligatne.

3. Dobuli Mini Zoo

Who lives? Ponies, goats, sheep, llamas, alpacas, rabbits, chickens, turkeys, geese, quails, pheasants and peacocks.

What’s interesting? There are picnic tables.

Location: 35 km from Riga.

Opening hours: weekends 10: 00-15: 00.

Prices: 4 euros for adults, 3 euros for children under 16 and schoolchildren.

4. Mini-zoo “Lauku seta”

Who lives? Cows, ponies, mules, donkeys, sheep, dogs, Maine Coons, llamas and alpacas.

What’s interesting? Picnic area, playgrounds, donkey and pony riding, animal feeding.

Location: 12 km from Jelgava, 41 km from Riga.

Opening hours: from May to September – daily 10:00 – 20:00. From September to April only on weekends 11:00 – 17:00.

Price: 5 euros for adults and 3 euros for children from 5 years old.

5. Safari Park “More”

Who lives? Deer and fallow deer.

What’s interesting? Reindeer can be hand-fed with food prepared by the owners of the park. Excursion accompanied by a guide who will tell you everything about reindeers.

Location: 70 km from Riga and 19 km from Sigulda.

Working hours: From May to September, the park is open on weekends from 10:00 to 16:00. On weekdays and from September to May – by appointment.

6. Mini-zoo “JuRita”

Who lives? Camel, alpacas, llamas, kangaroos (wallabies), fallow deer, Keri Hill sheep, rare in Latvia, dwarf goats, black-necked goats, Scottish ponies, donkeys, horses, rabbits of various breeds, peacocks and dwarf chickens.

What’s interesting? The animals can be petted and fed with special food purchased locally. Children can ride a pony.

Location: 14 km from the center of Daugavpils.

Working hours: Tue-Fri – from 12:00 to 18:00, weekends – from 11:00 to 18:00.

7. Ostrich farm “Nornieki”

Who lives? Ostriches and goats.

What’s interesting? Guided tour of the farm. Workshops on cooking with local products. Workshops on making jewelry and ostrich feathers.

Location: 20 km from Kuldiga.

Opening hours: daily 12:00 – 18:00.

Prices: 3 euros for adults, 2 euros for children.

8. Mini-zoo “Briezi”

Who lives? Chickens of various breeds, geese, ducks, raccoons, deer, fallow deer, goats, ponies, donkeys, sheep and squirrels.

What’s interesting? Riding a pony and a donkey. Places for picnics. The animals can be fed with special food or carrots sold locally.

Location: 16 km from the center of Riga.

Working hours: weekdays 11: 00-18: 00, weekends 10: 00-18: 00.

Who lives? Donkeys, wild horses, roe deer, ponies, nutria, marmots, dwarf goats and sheep, angora and dwarf rabbits, kangaroos and llamas, ducks, chickens, pheasants and peacocks.

Who lives? Elite Birds – Rare breeds of chickens, ducks, geese, pigeons and pheasants.

Location: 58 km from Riga and 25 km from Ogre.

11. Farm “Līcīši”

Who lives? Goats of different breeds, ducks and geese.

What’s interesting? Picnic area, lecture on goat milk processing with tasting.

Working hours: (by appointment) weekdays from 9:00 to 17:00, weekends from 11:00 to 17:00

Price: 3 euros for adults, 2 euros for school children.

Location: Ozolnieki, 10 km from Jelgava and 30 km from Riga.
