I can’t say that two visits to Madrid made me the restaurant guru of the city, but we always ate somewhere, and ate very tasty. Therefore, I decided to share with you the locations in Madrid where I liked the food the most.

1. Chocolateria San Gines

The best place to eat churros in Madrid. Despite the fact that churros can be tasted everywhere in the center of Madrid, this cafe is the most iconic place. A portion of churros with hot chocolate and coffee – 7 euros. The cafe is open 24/7.

Adress: Pasadizo de San Ginés, 5

2. Cafe Federal

A cult place with healthy breakfasts in Madrid. On weekends, there is a huge queue here, and we didn’t even get here from the first attempt. So we came back in the morning on a weekday and realized that it was worth it! The breakfasts are really good. By the way, the cafe has separate tables and seats for those who come to work with a laptop. And there are separate places only to eat, where you can’t sit and work.

Adress: Pl. del Conde de Barajas, 3

3. Mimi’s Creperia

Great breakfast spot near Placa Mayor. A huge selection of pancakes, omelets, they even have acai bowls. The portions are huge and very tasty.

Adress: C. de Postas, 17

4. Jardin Secreto de Salvador Bachiller

It’s like a “secret place in Madrid”. A blooming garden on the roof of an accessories shop is located on a popular street, but if you don’t know, you will not notice it. The menu includes healthy breakfasts, smoothies, acai, poke, etc. And a lot of stylish cocktails.

Adress: C. de la Montera, 37, Planta 3

5. Celicioso

A chain of pastry shops with gluten-free desserts and healthy snacks.

6. Honest Greens

Great chain of restaurants with healthy lunches. Although there are snacks too. We ate eggplant lasagna, quinoa salmon and some incredible salad, and sweet potato chicken. And it was soo good!

7. Mercado San Miguel

For me, this is the best place for tapas in Madrid. The place is touristy, but very atmospheric. I myself like sandwiches with codfish for 1.5 euros in a shop to the left of the main entrance.
