Puerto de Mogan – a meditarían village on the south of Gran Canaria.

Puerto de Mogan is a very cute fishing town in the south of Gran Canaria. It is also considered the most beautiful city on the island.

The architecture of Puerto de Mogan is executed in a typical Mediterranean style. While walking through the streets of the city, it may seem that you are somewhere in Greece. Also it is a popular place for a holiday with children. The city is located in a bay, so there is little wind and a lot of sun.

What to do in Puerto de Mogan?

Before you go there you need to understand that the city itself is very small, so it may be a good one-day or weekend direction. You can stroll along the beautiful colorful streets, observe the picturesque views, relax on the beach and enjoy the food in restaurants with a view.

So I am not recommending to spend the whole vacation here.

By the way on Fridays from 8:00 to 14:00 there is an open-air market El Mercadillo Municipal de Playa de Mogán, where you can buy local souvenirs, fruits, clothing and more.

Also very close to Puerto de Mogan there is another beautiful resort – Anfi Del Mar with caribbean sand beach, so I advise you to go and spend a day there. Read my guide about this place – Anfi del mar – paradise beach in Gran Canaria.
