3 Exquisite Paris Museums You Didn’t Know About.

The Louvre and Musée d’Orsay are great, but I highly recommend you go to one of the following three museums. Better yet, all three. All of them are dedicated to the theme of fashion, and as you know, Paris is the cradle of fashion. Paris is also the cradle of modern art. And if you consider that fashion and art are sisters, then goosebumps.

1. Louis Vuitton Foundation

Museum website link.

The building was built on the initiative of the President of Moët Hennessy – Louis Vuitton, Bernard Arnault. The building is a platform for temporary exhibitions of the company’s fund.
The building itself is impressive. Geometric shapes, lighting solutions. The best location for a photo shoot!

Entrance – 4 euros
If the museum hosts an exhibition, it costs separately.

The museum is located in the Bois de Boulogne, surrounded by 19th century mansions and a historic park. Be sure to take a walk in the amusement park, there are absolutely wonderful rides, peacocks walk, and in general a fabulous atmosphere. Entrance to the amusement park is free, we went there to drink coffee. The cafe is located in the historical building of the carriage house.

2. La Galerie Dior

The Dior Gallery is located in the brand’s historic mansion at 11, rue François-Ier. And it is here that the Dior studio is still located on the 4th-5th floors.

Even I, a person far from fashion, was under a huge visual impression. The visitor seems to be at a fashion show, simultaneously studying the history of the brand and admiring its treasures.

The visit to the gallery took me 1.5 hours.
The ticket cost only 12 euros. But I bought it in a week, and there were not so many slots left.

The only thing missing was an audio guide. At some point, I got tired of reading all the signs all the time.

My detailed article about this museum is available at the link.

And here’s the link to the museum’s website.

3. Palais Galliera

Address: 10 avenue Pierre 1er de Serbie

This fashion museum is unique in that there is no permanent exhibition. Exhibitions last from 4 to 6 months. We got to the exhibition “Fashion Big Bang”, dedicated to 1997 in the fashion world. The exposition is just amazing! There are rare fashion shows and costumes for the film “The 5th Element”, and a recording of Versace’s funeral.

A ticket to the exhibition costs 15 euros.
