By car: the easiest way to reach Tre Cime di Lavaredo by car is to tap Rifugio Auronzo into the google maps. The trip from Cortina d’Ampezzo to Rifugio Auronzo will take around 45 minutes.

Hiking route around Tre Cime Di Lavaredo

The trail starts just near the parking lot at the Rifugio Auronzo. Firstly you have to take the route 101 that leads to the Rifugio Lavaredo.

The Rifugio Lavaredo locates more or less in the middle of the loop. So it’s a good point to take a break and eat. Besides they have a decent menu and great views from the terrace outside. Though we stayed inside due to the weather conditions, which was warm and cozy.

After lunch take the path 105. There will be 2 ways of the route with same number 105, you need the one around the peaks, it leads ti Rifugio Auronzo.

The duration of the route is around 10 km. It will take about 3 – 3.5 hours of your time, excluding break time. The altitude Is 2333 m above the sea level.

Though we were not very lucky with the weather and witnessed the peaks covered by clouds, we enjoyed the hiking a lot. But I’ll attach this photo by The common wanderer so you can imagine how it supposes to look like.

In close proximity to Tre Cime di Lavaredi there is another very beautiful hike – Lago di Sorapis. I highly recommend going there as well. How to get there and a description of the trail, check in the link:
